Family History Live Online

Yesterday, I and 7 speakers and 6 vendors took part in a different kind of family history fair. Family History Live Online, http://www.familyhistoryliveonline.com/, provides a forum where you can listen to and view slides of a speaker's presentation from the comfort of your home computer in real time. You can even type out questions for the presenter. It's like being at an event without going anywhere.

To sign up is free, you just go to their website and register. It includes a download of their software. This is a new service that currently has free weekly classes, just go to their website and click on the tab, "online classes".

This is such a wonderful service for those with disabilities, people with small children who can't travel or anyone else who just can't make it to conferences and other genealogical events. Keep an eye on their website for upcoming events or just take part in their weekly free classes.
