As I was pinning away this morning on Pinterest I came across a set of paper doll books called Holy Habits. So I thought it might be nice to use Church Record Sunday to point out some places where you can learn more about a nun by the habit she wore.
The tagline for the website Nuns and Sisters is "Devoted to preserving images of the traditional habit." By clicking on Photographs on the left side menu, you can choose an order and then see a photo of the habit and a little about that particular group including a website.
One book you may be interested in is The Habit: A History of the Clothing of Catholic Nuns by Elizabeth Kuhns.
