There’s no doubt that you’ll want to exhaust city
directories as you research. I think that should be obvious by now. Where can you find city directories for the place and time period your ancestor lived? Ancestry.com has a huge
selection but don’t stop there. Do a thorough search of the diverse websites
found on the Internet that include digitized directories. the next two days will provide links to these online repositories but it's not comprehensive. I'm hoping it will give you some ideas about how to search for what you need.
