Yesterday we started our list of museums to consider for your family history research. Let's continue our list with a few more.

• Location (British Museum)

• Presidential Library & Museum

• Event (JFK Assassination)

• Historical Society (California Historical Society)

• Company Museum (Dr. Pepper, Jelly Belly, Coca Cola)

• Private Museum (Gemological Institute of America)

• University Museum

• Material Culture (International Quilt Museum)

• Service (water museum, dam museum)

•  Medical 

There are even more types of museums but I think you get the idea. There's basically a museum for every place, event, occupation, and  material item that you can think of. These museums provide social history and in some cases genealogically relevant names, dates, and places.
