Women's History Month 2022: About the Books

A few books that I love

This month I'm highlighting books that I think can be helpful for your research. I'm going to provide information about the book but I'm not providing links to where to buy the book. (I have in some cases linked to the publisher.)

No affiliate links, no bookstore links, no megastore online retailers. Just books. My intention is not to sell books. I just want you to be aware of them so you can borrow them or buy them if you want.

If you need help finding a book I suggest that you use WorldCat or Google to learn more about the book and the author. From WorldCat you can enter your zip code and find libraries that have the book. I also use the library app Libby to enter my library cards and borrow eBooks (you can enter more than one library card).

If you want to buy a book, consider an independent bookseller. A website to help you find those is IndieBound. There are also several genealogical booksellers including Genealogical Publishing, Family Roots Publishing, MyGenealogyBooks, and Heritage Books.

I also like to explore my local Friends of the Library bookstore and used bookstores. In some cases, the books I'm highlighting are older so they might be found in these places.

I LOVE books and I hope you'll love the books I'm highlighting this month. They are only a small number of the books that I think are important to a genealogical library.
