Women's History Month 2022: Bringing Your Family History to Life

In this third week of Women's History Month, we are looking at social history books that will help you better understand her life.

Title: Bringing Your Family History to Life Through Social History

Author: Katherine Scott Sturdevant

Publisher: Betterway Books

Synopsis:

"...shows you how to use social history-the study of "ordinary people's everyday lives"- to add depth, detail, and drama to your family saga...Each chapter is packed with examples, tips, charts, and checklists to help you get the results you want."

Why You Need This Book: This is the book to learn more about social history and where to find it. My favorite charts deal with subfields of social history and the elements of social history. This book has it all: information, forms, bibliographies, it's really a textbook on social history. Every time I pick up this book I learn something new. It's  a must-have book.
