When looking for church records for your ancestor, do you check Google? Google is a great finding aid for records that may be digitized or mentioned on a website. Plus if you change the search view to Books, you can view books that include your search terms (I highly recommend you do that).
Just as an example, I did a general search on the phrase Church Records Methodist to see what was available. The results included:
Missouri United Methodist Archives
Historical Society of the United Methodist Church Genealogy Section
Archives Collection - The Methodist Church of New Zealand
Global Genealogy - Methodist Church Records in Ontario
United Methodist Church North Georgia Conference Archives
North Dakota Methodist Church Records
Centenary College- Archives of the Louisiana Annual Conference of the Methodist Church
United Methodist Historical Society of Ohio
Cyndi's List - Methodist Archives, Libraries & Museums
And the list goes on and includes specific congregations as well. That list includes almost 12 million hits.
Next time your curious about a church record set, check Google.
