Women's History Month 2019: Census of Women Physicians, 1918

One type of directory is an occupational or professional directory. These directories might list individuals working in an occupational field. Those individual listings may include name and address, work name and address, degree, and university graduated from. They can also include history of the occupation or businesses as well as other pertinent information. 

For the next few days, we'll take a look at some examples. Researching an ancestor's occupation and identifying archival records and histories is always important. Occupational information might be found on the census or city directories.
